The importance of mental health

A majority of the population struggles to stay mentally healthy. This is most likely the case because most people don't know how to handle their negative emotions, or they simply don't take time for themselves. If you are ever feelings overwhelmed or stressed out, take some time to relax, go on a walk, meditate, or anything that helps you calm down. If our mental health is suffering, it's only a matter of time before it affects our physical health as well. Bad habits begin to form as a result of poor mental health such as not wanting to go out and poor eating habits. So, if you are ever feeling down, seek help, or just take a minute for yourself to calm down.

Benefits of rock climbing

 Rock climbing is an activity that involves climbing on artificial or natural rock walls and trying to reach the top. There are different ways to rock climb, but the goal is always the same, to climb to the top. Some benefits of rock climbing are that it's a great way to boost physical and mental health, and it's a fun pass time. Rock climbing is a full body workout and requires you to use a majority of your body to complete a climb. It can also boost your confidence and help you focus because it takes a lot of concentration and quick thinking to find the right places to put your hands and feet.

The benefits of playing video games

 Video games are often seen as a waste of time and an unhealthy activity, and it partially is, but there are also benefits to playing video games. Depending on the type of video game, they are various different benefits that you could get out of playing such as puzzle games. Many different games have puzzles in them that you have to solve before moving on, this helps with your problem-solving ability. If you are playing a team game, it also helps with your communication and teamwork skills. When playing video games most people choose to sit down, but it doesn't have to always be this way, many people who play for a living walk on a treadmill while playing or just stand up and play. There are many different ways that video games can benefit you, but spending too much time sitting and staring at a screen for long periods are down sides to playing, but these can be regulated by limiting play time.

Carbon sinks begin to fail

 Carbon sinks are parts of nature where more carbon is absorbed than released. Carbons sinks are responsible for absorbing about half of the carbon released by humans every year. But recently a study has shown that suddenly carbon sinks have been absorbing little to no carbon, the weakest it has been since 2003. This could have drastic effects on the climate which we might have already seen with the recent hurricanes that just blew through Florida. If these carbon sinks don't start functioning again soon, we might be in a load of trouble, because we just can't survive without nature absorbing the carbon that we emit.
